What is the sentencing for debit card fraud and mailbox tampering?

Someone stole my debit card out of my mailbox and used it, $700.00, and I know who did it. What type of punishment will that person receive?|||Forget the "federal crime" comments. It is, but neither the FBI nor the Postal Inspectors are going to work it. It's probably a felony in most states to steal or use a debit card without the owner's permission. It's not a serious felony, pretty much classed with forgery. Probation for a first time felon. Maybe some jail time for someone with a worse record. If you want something done, report it now. Video records are often recycled, and that's how these cases are usually made.|||It depends on the state you live in. Not all states have the same guidelines. Although since it involved your mailbox, that makes it a federal offense.|||If you have proof, they could be sentenced to federal prison. Call the FBI.|||Prison times.|||very severe.
