How long does Bank of America take to process debit payments at restuarants?

I went out to eat on Saturday and paid by debit card. It says on my online account that it's waiting for the final amount from merchant. Anyone know how many days it takes to clear in a bank account with Bank of America?|||WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO PATIENTS? Your available balance show the deduction ASAP. I know I have used BofA for years and it is not up to them.

Be patient, don't you know what you spent, do You Not keep any records yourself

What are we going to do in the event of a national computer failure

AND YES IT can happen

Get off all of your duffs and take some imitative to keep up with your business|||The only problem I have with your rant is "it doesn't fly"! If at the point of the sales transaction, you punch in your PIN number at the merchant's business and your bank approves the sale, you would think in this age of instant computerization your account would be debited IMMEDIATELY-nope!

|||It's in the vendor's (restaurants) hands. Some businesses don't batch through their credit card receipts daily, especially if they don't do a lot of card business.|||Since today is the first business day since Saturday, you're likely to see it show up tomorrow morning.|||Immediately as soon as the vendor submits the bill|||As soon as the restaurant puts it in. That's what waiting on the merchant means. It's nothing to do with BoA.
